SYNOPSIS
We live in a moment of evolution-regression. Nowadays, due to the excessive exploitation of the resources there are more and more trends that choose to recover the traditional, the ecological, the authentic and with identity. There is a certain need to face the authenticity of things, with what makes us feel alive and in contact with nature.
Dispositivo LABranza is a proposal with an intergenerational character that uses the figure of the peasant and the artist to identify the similarities in both fields and see how they coexist. The device is approached with a contemporary and conceptual vision of the relationship between “man x field”, “dancer x body”, the landscape of the field brought to the geography of the body. A constant comparison of two types of bodies that in their daily lives modify their surroundings from their movement.
We therefore took this impulse to approach the project from the common, daily and authentic movement of people, which expresses itself full of content and is wrapped in those stories of yesteryear that from their simplicity charge the locals with substance and identity.
The Labranza project seeks to offer a scenic structure where community and professional dance is integrated through a creative process that starts from the possible similarities between the farmer and the artist in which each individual will connect with their “field inside” to make a journey through its own idiosyncrasy and reality.
BIOGRAPHY
Colectivo Lamajara Danza brings together a group of creators who understand art as a tool and vehicle through which to transmit and share a vision of our historical and social context, of the reality that connects us among ourselves and with all people, a way to create in life from a respectful, plain and simple perspective. A group of people who believe in commitment, in coherence before some ideas, in collaboration in the face of individuality and understand creation as a way of building together from the strength of the collective.
The collective organizes its work cooperatively, fostering dialogue and consensus towards a common methodology. The main objective of the collective is to support free artistic expression, helping in the production of a free and eclectic creation.
